The preapproval code will be valid for up to 12 months.
When you're ready to get booked in with your chosen partner, provide them with the bumper code so they can assist you with completing your application.
Please bear in mind the unique code can only be used once. If you would like to split the cost with Bumper again you would need to reapply.

Bumper can be used to split the cost of car repairs, servicing, MOT, warranties, and accessories. Ultimately, it is down to the retailer what Bumper can be used for so please always check with them first.

Yes, subject to the soft credit check you can apply to have multiple PayLaters out at the same time.
This will take into consideration any credit you currently have in use with Bumper.
We currently don’t accept American Express, Prepaid or Tesco credit cards.
Please also ensure that the card you are using is registered to the same address you used when applying for your PayLater.
No early repayment charges are applied. Feel free to repay your account off early anytime by using the online payment link. This can be found at the bottom of the emails that Bumper sends to you.

The repayments will be taken by way of recurring card payment from the card you supplied to us upon completing your agreement.
We will electronically debit the outstanding balance of each repayment from your nominated bank card on the dates listed in your agreement, together with any other amounts due (such as a late payment charge).
We may charge a late payment fee if you miss one or more repayments of your plan.
We understand circumstances can change and we’ll do our best to support you.

Bumper is here to help if you cannot keep up with your monthly instalments. As soon as you feel the payments are not manageable, please contact our support team straight away. We will aim to come to a mutually agreeable arrangement which is suitable for you.
A temporary repayment arrangement is a reduced repayment for an agreed period. The amount and number of repayments will vary depending on individual circumstances.
A new repayment arrangement is a repayment plan that has been amended from the original repayment terms.
We are obliged to report the status of your PayLater plan to the credit reference agency every month. If you enter into a repayment arrangement with Bumper, this will be reported on your credit file due to a change in the original payment terms. Please note, this is not classed as a late payment.
If you’re planning to use Bumper again you would need to apply for a new PayLater. Your application would be subject to a soft credit check and will take into consideration any credit you currently have in use with Bumper.

Yes, we perform a soft credit check when you apply for a Credit Limit. This will not affect your credit score.
We’re obligated to make regular reports about the status of agreed payment plans. Therefore, these plans will show in your report.
This can help to build your credit score as long as you are up to date with your payments.

We charge our partners a small service charge when you choose to split your payment with Bumper and ensure that they never pass this cost to you. That way we keep it all as simple as possible for you.
To request a cancellation of your PayLater plan, please contact the provider directly
Bumper assist in splitting your bill into instalments and collecting the monthly payments, however only the provider can authorise and action your cancellation.
It’s important to note that the Bumper application is separate to your policy.
